The general's room

From this bed and breakfast, your gaze is lost in the greenery. And yet here we are, on the doorstep of our country's largest scientific research laboratories. Whether you come to work at the CEA, CNRS, Orsay University, Plytechnique, EDF or Danone research centers, you'll find peace and quiet here. From here, you can walk to Saint Rémy les Chevreuse along car-free paths. It's the calm, the nature, the birdsong that prevails. This is undoubtedly what General Saussier, to whom this room was allocated, was looking for when he came to stay with his sister

General Saussier fought many military campaigns in the 19th century. Governor of Paris for 13 years until 1897, he came here to his sister's house to rest and write. He enjoyed the calm and light of this room overlooking the park. With its four-poster bed and burgundy, yellow and green ambiance, this room retains the decor of the late 19th century.
